Get Cooking with The Stars visits Francesco’s Ristorante Italia

Host Laurie Belle (Get Cooking with the Stars, Leftcoast TV) was invited to the Welcome Foodies event held at the picturesque Francesco’s Ristorante Italia. Joining Laurie was Publicist Lesley Diana (Promotion People) and Direct TV (Rogue) Creative Director Kelly Beck.

Special Guests to Francesco’s were actor Martin Sheen and son Ramon Estevez. Press for the evening included: WE Vancouver, Vancouver Magazine, Leftcoast TV, NotableCA, Straight Food, Georgia Straight, WHERE Vancouver, Rogue Direct TV, Promotion People, Vancity Vibe, Vancity Buzz, and Ed Lau. The guests were greeted with an elegant bubbly and the menu that followed was delectable.

The VIP were seated at a large table and were presented with a lavish choice of entrée. Our host Laurie chose the Lobster Bisque,Sable Fish with Saffron Risotto baked with basil, saffron,Lemon juice, white wine, onion, garlic, tomato, and presented with white asparagus. The savory meal was followed with a selection of Crème Brule, Tiramisu, and Chocolate Ganache cake.  Scrumptious indeed!

Francesco’s  menu for the gala included Roasted rack of Lamb, Cornish game hen, and Veal Porterhouse Chop. The guests enjoyed fine wines as an accompaniment to the evening. The glasses remained full, the staff and hosts were delightful, and it was a lovely evening for all. A definite food lovers delight.
